Overview
A research project exploring how traditional Aegean fishing boat hull proportions can be reinterpreted for a modern electric day cruiser. The study bridges vernacular maritime heritage with contemporary naval architecture.
Three hull forms were tested at 1:20 scale. The third iteration — documented here — achieved the best balance between the distinctive Aegean entry angle and the flat aft sections required for electric propulsion efficiency at displacement speeds.
